Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

Schedule

Rotating shifts including days and nights, every other weekend, 3x12s.

Job Description

The Travel Behavioral Health RN will be responsible for the management of clinical activities within the assigned units, particularly focusing on Inpatient Adolescent (14-17 year old) and Geriatric Behavioral Health. The role requires the implementation of the nursing department's philosophy, goals, and standards while overseeing patient care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the delivery of care within the inpatient behavioral health facility.
• Direct staffing and scheduling of nursing personnel.
• Formulate and monitor departmental budgets.
• Coordinate orientation and educational needs for staff members.
• Promote positive public relations on behalf of the Nursing Department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Inpatient adolescent psych experience is mandatory.
• BLS certification is required.
• De-escalation training/certification is required; attendance at SAFE Training Course onsite is an option if needed.
• Floating between adolescent and geriatric units is required.
