Registered Nurse - Psychiatric Care

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00) with every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in psychiatric care. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with a variety of psychiatric conditions. This role demands a strong focus on patient interaction, crisis intervention, medication administration, and management of complex behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a psychiatric patient population with a ratio of 1:6.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and behavior management techniques.
• Document patient care in the Cerner charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including pharmacy and respiratory services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active PA Registered Nurse license.
• BLS and CCM certifications required.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric settings.
• Prior charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with antipsychotic medications and crisis intervention techniques.
