Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Will work 3x12 nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a holiday rotation and every other weekend required. On-call duty is not required.

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide care for pediatric, neonate, and infant patients in a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital. The candidate will be responsible for various respiratory procedures and will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies and medications to patients.
• Perform assessments and monitor vital signs of pediatric patients.
• Provide support for neonatal intensive care and pediatric critical care patients.
• Utilize advanced respiratory care procedures such as bronchoscopy and extubation as necessary.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records using electronic charting systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric, neonate, and infant care.
• Candidates must hold RRT certification, BLS, PALS, and NRP.
• SC RCP license must be in hand at the time of start; pending licenses may be considered with proof of application.
• Epic experience is preferred but not mandatory.
