Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with every other weekend and holiday rotation required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide care for pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will be able to evaluate and support the respiratory needs of neonates, infants, and adolescents within the critical care setting. A strong recent background in pediatrics is essential.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures in accordance with established guidelines.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient responses to therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and recovery.
• Conduct assessments and provide patient education on respiratory care.
• Participate in emergency response situations as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric respiratory therapy experience.
• Current RRT certification and South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider license required prior to start.
• Must have BLS and PALS certifications.
• Experience with Epic charting preferred.
