Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a holiday rotation and every other weekend requirement.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide respiratory care to pediatric, neonate, and infant patients. The therapist will assess and administer treatments to patients with respiratory conditions, specializing in pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and diagnostic tests.
• Administer medications and therapies as per treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of pediatric, neonate, and infant experience required.
• Current RRT certification, BLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• NBRC and SC RCP certification accepted.
• Epic charting experience is preferred.
• South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider license must be in hand by the start date.
