This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-hour shifts, Days, from 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, with holiday rotation. Every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide critical care respiratory services across all areas of the hospital, including labor and delivery, ensuring effective ventilation and airway management for patients of all ages. This position requires proficiency in various respiratory modalities and collaboration with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy.
• Perform intubation assistance and bronchoscopy when necessary.
• Interpret arterial blood gases and adjust therapy based on results.
• Provide care for pediatric and neonatal patients in critical settings.
• Assist with emergency responses and participate in rapid response teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent critical care experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Current South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required at the time of start.
• National certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC (RRT) required.
• Experience using Epic charting system is preferred.
