Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 7 PM - 7 AM, including weekends and holidays as required.

Job Description

Seeking a qualified Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide intensive care and treatment for patients in our trauma unit. The candidate will be responsible for managing acute and critical patient conditions, applying advanced nursing skills, and demonstrating the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to appropriate healthcare teams.
• Perform procedures such as intubation, central line management, and chest tube insertion.
• Engage in patient and family education regarding wellness and follow-up care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 2 years of clinical experience in a trauma or emergency department setting.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS. NIHSS certification is preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is highly preferred.
• Must be able to float to various units as needed.
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are mandatory, with exemptions allowed.
