10-hour days with rotating weekends.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Hospice Registered Nurse to provide exceptional end-of-life care. The ideal candidate will specialize in complex symptom management and possess strong communication skills to facilitate goals of care discussions with patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic and patient-centered care for terminally ill patients.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to manage complex symptoms effectively.
• Administer medications via various routes, including IV and subcutaneous.
• Facilitate discussions on patient goals of care with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Utilize strong critical thinking skills in symptom management and end-of-life care planning.
• Participate in the orientation and training processes for staff as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospice or palliative care is required.
• AHA BLS Certification is required.
• Strong proficiency in electronic medical record systems, specifically EPIC.
• Excellent typing skills due to the narrative-heavy nature of documentation.
