Registered Nurse - Cardiac Operating Room

12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Job Description

The Adult Cardiac Operating Room provides care for a diverse range of patients undergoing various cardiac procedures, including CABGs, TAVIs, and heart failure treatments such as VADs, ECMO, artificial hearts, and heart transplants. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to delivering high-quality care across all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases.
• Manage procedures such as CABGs, structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall), minimally invasive interventions (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (e.g., Impella).
• Provide care in transplant cases, TAVI/TAVR, as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN License in New York.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience.
• Operating room experience in a level 1 trauma center is preferred.
• Ability to scrub and circulate is essential.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Telemetry certification required.
