Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients and ensures the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective return to community activities.

Responsibilities

• Completes a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients.
• Utilizes clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Conducts 60-minute evaluations followed by 30-minute follow-up sessions.
• Documents patient care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
• Ensures patient care is provided under signed, valid physician orders.
• Participates in student programs, providing a positive learning environment.
• Actively pursues professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Maintains professional licensure in good standing and complies with continuing education requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active/applicable license for the state where work will be performed.
