Registered Nurse - Pediatric Emergency Department

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend.

Job Description

The Pediatric Emergency Department (ED) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to pediatric patients. The unit features a separate pediatric area and requires proficiency in ventilator management, as well as previous experience in a pediatric emergency setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients in the ED.
• Utilize advanced skills in ventilator management.
• Monitor and manage patient ratios effectively (1:5+).
• Care for holding patients as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience, with pediatric ED experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory at the time of submission.
• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required.
• Preferred experience in PICU and potential for floating to PICU and Pediatrics.
