Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

This position requires 4 ten-hour shifts with on-call responsibilities as needed. Please note that block scheduling requests cannot be guaranteed.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, you will assess patients to determine their mental, physical, and spiritual needs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans. Your clinical skills will be essential in using clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient conditions, contributing to a healthy workplace environment through professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and their responsible persons.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current with nursing practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• ACLS certification relevant to intensive care settings.
