Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Night Shift)

Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include evaluating outcomes, consulting with other specialists and ancillary departments, and adjusting nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care and smooth flow through the ER. The role requires delivering care that addresses psychosocial, physical, and general needs, as well as effectively meeting communication needs for patients and families. The nurse will communicate changes in patient status to ED physicians and respond quickly and accurately to condition changes or treatment responses.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care processes accordingly.
• Consult with specialists and ancillary departments as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians.
• Respond swiftly and accurately to changes in patient conditions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• PALS, ENPC, TNCC, and/or TNS certifications preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
