Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Per Diem Day Shift)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role requires providing direct patient care within the scope of practice while also directing and guiding patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel, all while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with physicians regarding changes in patients' clinical conditions.
• Perform cardiac monitoring and interpret results of diagnostic studies.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Maintain high standards of care within the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate.
• Current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate.
• Minimum of 1 year of previous acute care hospital experience.
• Meditech EMR experience preferred.
• Ability to float to units of competency.

Schedule

This is a per diem position with day shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM.
