Registered Nurse - Ortho-Neuro Unit

12-hour night shifts, including weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Ortho-Neuro Unit, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing elective surgeries and managing various orthopedic and neurological conditions. The unit features 33 private beds and emphasizes excellent patient support and care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic and neurological patients.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including PCA pumps.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans and procedures.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate health records using the EPIC system.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license with BLS certification (AHA).
• Experience in orthopedic care and familiarity with PCA pumps.
• Proficiency in using EPIC or similar electronic health record systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a high-paced healthcare environment.
• Flexible scheduling availability, including nights and weekends.
