Job Description

The Operating Room of Surgery provides specialized cardiac care for surgical and procedural sedation patients, encompassing pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and elderly patients. This role involves collaboration with various provider specialties to ensure comprehensive patient care, whether they are discharged the same day or admitted to the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to surgical and procedural patients in the Operating Room.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Administer sedation and monitor patients during surgical procedures.
• Assist in pre- and post-operative care of patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
• AHA ACLS required.
• One (1) year experience as a Circulating Nurse in the OR or completion of an approved didactic pre-operative nursing class.
• Two (2) years experience in ICU/PCU and/or medical/surgical acute care setting.
• One (1) year CVOR/Open Heart experience required.
• ICU experience preferred.
• Scrubbing experience preferred.
