Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Job Description

The Medical Surgical unit specializes in the care of acutely ill adults and those who require surgery, both emergent and elective. Medical Surgical patients receive the highest standards of professional care provided by registered nurses and nurse assistants. Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing is strongly encouraged and supported.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to acutely ill adult patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
• AHA ACLS certification required.
• Recent Epic experience is mandatory.
• Orthopedic and bariatric experience preferred.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring is required for patients needing stable cardiac monitoring.

Schedule

This position offers a night shift from 1900 to 0730 with rotating weekends.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
