Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Flexible day or night shift availability, with scheduled hours of 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation. Candidates must be adaptable to various shift lengths and days, as there is no guarantee of hours or shift preference. No holiday RTO requests will be accepted.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide med/surg level care for patients aged 18 and over. The role may require floating to surgical pediatrics or transitional care units. The nurse will utilize equipment such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care in a medical/surgical unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of med/surg or higher-level care experience.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Must possess a valid Hawaii RN license by the start of the assignment.
