Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Schedule

Nights - 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. 36 and 48 hours available per week, with 1 weekend shift required per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Must work at least 1 holiday per contract.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg Telemetry Unit, which consists of 37 beds. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an acute med/surg environment, ensuring proper assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care based on acuity levels and established protocols.
• Supervise and mentor nursing support staff.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize EPIC charting for accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Be willing to float to other units as needed and assume charge nursing responsibilities when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in acute med/surg/tele.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active NY RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.
