Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 12 hours from 7 PM to 7 AM. Options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Must work at least one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the West 7 Med/Tele Complex Care unit, which consists of 37 beds. The role includes collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient status and make critical decisions regarding care.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and families.
• Document patient information using EPIC charting system.
• Perform assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Assist in floating to other units and may be required to take charge as needed.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical / telemetry.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.

Required Licensure / Certifications

• Active New York RN license.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
