Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotation schedule: 12-hour shifts from 3 PM to 3 AM or 7 PM to 7 AM, totaling 36 hours per week. One weekend shift per contracted week is required, or two weekend shifts every other weekend. Must work at least one holiday per contract.

Job Description

The Emergency Department is a high-acuity unit with 80 treatment spaces, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment. The team emphasizes specialized geriatric emergency care and has received ACEP accreditation for its geriatric ED.

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist in specialized geriatric emergency care.
• Collaborate with a supportive team of healthcare professionals.
• Participate in a rotating blocked schedule if requested.
• Optionally, take on on-call shifts between 7 PM and 7 AM.

Required Experience and Certifications

• A minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of U.S. work history required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active NY RN license required.
• Current NIH and AHA BLS certifications.
