Cath Lab Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (07:00 - 17:30). Call requirements include one weekend per month and an additional call shift and evening shift each week.

Job Description

The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional procedures within the catheterization laboratory. This role entails working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and effective management of caseloads in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor patients throughout procedures in the catheterization laboratory.
• Ensure comprehensive preparation and operation of equipment prior to and during procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in the EPIC system.
• Perform specific cardiac procedures including coronary angioplasty, stent placements, and more.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including radiation safety monitoring.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process).
• Active South Carolina license required; pending applications accepted with documentation.
• Prior experience with coronary diagnostics and interventional scrubs is essential.
• Radiation badge required, provided by the staffing agency.
