Job Description

The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. This role ensures that quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with the unit's standards of care. The Registered Nurse demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record initial assessments and establish priorities according to patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
• Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention.
• Develop and implement measurable individualized plans of care within established timeframes.
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on evaluations of patient outcomes and modify care plans as needed.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs.
• Evaluate care plans and perform various Point of Care testing procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• Current BLS Certification from AHA.
• Current ACLS Certification from AHA.
• Current TNCC Certification required.
• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
