Registered Nurse - Days

This position requires a commitment to a day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care tailored to the needs of the specific patient population on the assigned units. This role ensures that quality care is provided efficiently and safely, aligned with the unit’s standards of care. The RN demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization, exhibiting quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice while treating staff, physicians, patients, and families with respect and consideration.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial assessments and establishes care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
• Regularly reassesses patients to identify progress and trends that require intervention.
• Develops and implements measurable individualized plans of care within the established timeframe.
• Evaluates and modifies plans of care based on patient outcomes.
• Participates in patient education and discharge planning.
• Documents timely interventions appropriate to patient needs.
• Performs various Point of Care testing procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• Current BLS Certification from AHA.
• Current ACLS Certification from AHA.
• Current TNCC Certification.
• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
