This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15), with start times varying between 06:45-19:15 or 09:00-21:30. Candidates must be prepared to work weekends and may float within the hospital to meet facility needs.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in the operating room. The RN will work as part of a surgical team, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols and best practices during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with abdominal surgeries including Aortic Aneurysm repair, hysterectomy, and more.
• Administer blood and blood products.
• Provide patient assessment and prepare the operating room.
• Maintain sterile technique and support surgical procedures including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.
• Monitor patient vitals and recovery following surgery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a current AK RN license in hand for Auto Offer.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing role, specifically in the operating room.
• Certifications required: BLS; ACLS and CNOR preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
