Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - 13 Week Contract

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are 3x12-hour days, from 06:45 AM to 07:15 PM or 09:00 AM to 09:30 PM. Weekend coverage is required.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality care in the surgical setting. The RN must possess the knowledge and skills to assist with surgical procedures, manage patient care during the perioperative phase, and collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals in the OR.
• Ensure the operating room is equipped and sterile for surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and administer medications as needed.
• Maintain a safe and compliant environment in accordance with hospital policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Alaska RN license in hand.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care OR setting.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Trauma Level II experience is required.
