Ultrasound Technologist - Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic

Job Description

The Ultrasound Technologist at our Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic is responsible for using ultrasound equipment to create quality images for obstetrical and gynecologic physicians. This role involves operating imaging equipment, ensuring image quality for accurate diagnosis, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to evaluate and diagnose high-risk pregnancies.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images for medical examinations.
• Review ultrasound images for quality before presenting to physicians.
• Identify normal and abnormal imaging results, communicating findings to physicians.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided diagnostic procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals regarding evaluations and diagnoses.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two-year allied health degree and successful completion of an approved one-year program in Ultrasound Technology.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field, including prior travel experience.
• Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) is required.
• State license as a general radiographer or as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
