Job Description

The Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for delivering high-quality care in a 44 bed inpatient psychiatric facility. This role involves providing nursing care to adolescent patients aged 14-17 as well as geriatric patients in behavioral health units. Additionally, the nurse will be pivotal in maintaining the standards and philosophies of the Department of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Manage clinical activities and oversee nursing staff in the assigned unit.
• Formulate and monitor capital, personnel, and operating budgets.
• Direct staffing and scheduling of personnel to ensure adequate coverage.
• Supervise employees in the delivery of care to patients.
• Plan and coordinate the orientation and educational needs of the staff.
• Promote positive public relations on behalf of the Nursing Department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Inpatient adolescent psychiatric nursing experience required.
• BLS certification is required.
• De-escalation training/certification required; attendance to SAFE Training Course onsite may be needed.
