Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Trauma

Schedule

This position requires a rotating shift schedule of 3x12.0, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays on an on-call basis.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic orthopedic unit, specializing in orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses. This unit is recognized for its commitment to research and innovation, offering numerous opportunities for education and professional growth. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the orthopedic specialty.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize excellent organizational and problem-solving skills in patient care.
• Exhibit strong communication skills with team members and patients.
• Participate in the educational and professional development opportunities available within the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 2 years of orthopedic nursing experience.
• Current RN license valid in New York.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only).
