Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry department is responsible for providing optimal patient care utilizing nursing knowledge and skills within the nursing process. The role encompasses individual accountability for patient outcomes through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for adult and geriatric patients, including their families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and treat patients’ health responses.
• Coordinate care among healthcare professionals as necessary.
• Manage medications including non-titratable cardiac drips.
• Provide care for diverse patient conditions including CHF, alcohol withdrawal, sepsis, and dysrhythmias.
• Assist with post-procedure care for patients recovering from invasive cardiac procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience.
• Valid NV RN license required prior to start.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Ability to pass a telemetry competency exam, including identifying and measuring rhythm strips.
