Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role emphasizes the delegation and direction of therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective return to community activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
• Ensure care is provided under signed and valid physician orders.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision and evaluations.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
• Contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives and follow through with action plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable license for the state where work will be performed.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
