Registered Nurse - ICU Nights

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00). Options for 36 or 48 hours per week.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care during night shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in critical care, demonstrating competence in various procedures and patient management.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Manage patient ratios of 1:2 during the night shift and on weekends.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Float to other units as required, including MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, and CVICU.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience required.
• Current and valid RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required prior to start.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Experience with charting systems preferred.
• Skills in arterial line management, ventilator management, and care of ventilated patients.
