Night shifts, 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, floating required.

Job Description

The Travel ICU Registered Nurse will provide critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities include total care for ICU patients, managing ventilators and titratable drips, and assisting with patient hygiene. The role requires floating to the ER and Med-Surg departments as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for ICU patients with ventilators and titratable drips.
• Provide patient hygiene and comfort.
• Float to ER and Med-Surg departments as required.
• Assist with tasks such as responding to call lights, passing medications, starting IVs, and conducting blood draws when floating to the ER.
• Take full assignments of up to 6 Med-Surg patients or act as an aide for 12 patients when floating to Med-Surg.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience with ER and Med-Surg preferred.
• TNCC certification is preferred.
• Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, and mixing medications is preferred.
