Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (L&D)

This position involves night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, working on a 3x12-hour schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with extensive experience in high-risk Labor and Delivery (L&D) settings. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment and fulfill the role of a Baby Nurse during deliveries, ensuring quality care for both the mother and the newborn.

Responsibilities

• Function as a Baby Nurse during deliveries, providing immediate care to newborns.
• Circulate and provide necessary newborn care, including eye care, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments.
• Support high-risk deliveries and assist in various nursing procedures within L&D.
• Maintain up-to-date emergency response procedures in line with AWHONN guidelines.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams and support post-delivery care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 3-5 years of verified experience in high-risk and high-acuity L&D nursing environments.
• Current RN license with active compact licensure recognized by the facility.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP required; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate preferred.
• Strong supervisory references must be provided at the time of application.
• Successful completion of a clinical review is mandatory prior to hiring.
