Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse - Oncology Specialty

This position requires evening shifts, specifically a 12x3 schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in oncology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in step-down units and a strong background in managing patients with heavy sickle cell conditions. Chemo certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical specialty setting.
• Current and valid RN license.
• Chemo certification preferred.
• Skills Checklist and Nursys License Verification required.
• References and work history with no gaps greater than 60 days.
