Emergency Room Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position with night shifts scheduled for 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing, demonstrating the ability to handle a high volume of patients while maintaining a quality standard of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Manage a patient load with a ratio of 4:1.
• Perform nursing assessments, triage patients, and manage critical situations effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered while monitoring patient responses.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
• Experience managing a patient load of at least 95-100 patients a day.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
