Nursing Assistant - Night Shift

Job Description

The Nursing Assistant, under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs routine tasks in patient care, bedside nursing, and documentation of care provided. This role is essential for maintaining the highest standards of safety and care for patients while adhering to the core values of Select Medical.

Responsibilities

• Embrace the Select Medical Way and Core Values to deliver superior quality in all tasks.
• Promote patient and employee safety focusing on key areas including safe patient handling and infectious diseases.
• Assist patients in menu management, including preparing, assembling, delivering, and retrieving patient menus as per prescribed diets.
• Communicate patient care and food service issues effectively to the department.
• Perform clerical assignments within the Food & Nutrition office to maintain organization and efficiency.
• Provide assistance to trayline, food service aides, or catering as necessary.
• Complete additional duties as requested.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of Two (2) Years of Bedside Clinical Experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This position requires a Night Shift with a 3x12 hour schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
