Nights Behavioral Health Associate

Schedule

This position offers night shifts from 12am to 8:30am, with a commitment to working 5-8 hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours weekly.

Job Description

The Behavioral Health Associate will provide critical support during the night shift, acting as a backup candidate in a comprehensive care setting. This role emphasizes crisis management, de-escalation techniques, and building therapeutic rapport with patients. A commitment to trauma-informed care and patient-centered practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Utilize strong crisis-management and de-escalation skills to maintain a safe environment.
• Develop and maintain professional boundaries while engaging with patients to foster therapeutic relationships.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Support patient care physically, including potential restraint use in accordance with policy when necessary.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 6 months experience in behavioral health or related field is preferred.
• Strong communication and observation skills are essential to successful patient interactions.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
