Job Description

The Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients within an inpatient adolescent and geriatric behavioral health unit. The role involves ensuring the implementation of the philosophy, goals, and standards of the Department of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Management of clinical and administrative activities within the assigned unit.
• Formulation and monitoring of capital, personnel, and operating budgets.
• Direction of staffing and scheduling of nursing personnel.
• Supervision and support of nursing staff in delivering patient care.
• Planning and coordination of orientation and educational needs for the staff.
• Maintenance of a collaborative working relationship with other healthcare disciplines.
• Representation of the Nursing Department to promote positive public relations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required.
• Inpatient Adolescent Psych experience required.
• De-escalation training/certification required; SAFE Training Course available onsite if needed.
