Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. This role is accountable for individualized patient outcomes throughout the entire episode of care, delivering comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families/caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Provide care for patients experiencing severe, non-life threatening issues.
• Utilize advanced nursing skills to manage patients with complex conditions such as stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory issues.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Engage patients and families in care planning and education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience required; Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred.
• Experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, arterial lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management.
• Current NV RN license required prior to start.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
