Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Oncology/Cancer Unit will provide optimal patient care utilizing their knowledge and skills. Responsibilities include managing individualized patient outcomes, conducting assessments, and coordinating care among healthcare professionals for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and care planning for patients in the Oncology unit.
• Administer various chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments as per established protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to critical changes, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Engage with patients’ families to provide education and support regarding care plans.
• Document patient care accurately and follow up on treatment outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 2 years of RN experience, including 1 year in Oncology.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• BLS certification is required; ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification is preferred.
