Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to provide rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders. This role requires adherence to regulatory and clinical practice requirements under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
- Provide medically necessary treatment interventions, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and the use of modalities and supportive devices.
- Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly.
- Document all treatment sessions and maintain patient records in compliance with company policy.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Participate in patient care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings.
- Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.
- Adhere to APTA and state-required practice acts during professional practice.
Schedule
This position offers flexible 8-hour days from Monday to Friday, with times being adjustable as long as they are consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- At least 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings is required.
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license is mandatory.
