Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Shift: 07:00-19:00

Weekend Hours: Every other weekend

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for post-surgical patients with a focus on medical surgical needs. The ideal candidate will have a background in med surg nursing and experience with orthopedic patients is highly beneficial. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a strong patient advocate.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to post-surgical patients.
• Administer medications and monitor patient conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EHR.
• Assist with wound care and other medical procedures as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid North Carolina or compact RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in a medical surgical setting.
• Proficiency with Cerner EHR is a requirement.
