Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Telemetry unit. The nurse will be responsible for managing patients with various conditions, including but not limited to diabetes, dementia, COVID, pneumonia, and renal failure. The ideal candidate should possess strong telemetry skills and the ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care for a diverse patient population on a telemetry unit.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, management of dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and blood products, manage feeding tubes and other medical devices.
• Perform phlebotomy, IV starts, and manage central and peripheral lines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for effective patient care.
• Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
• Document patient care and interventions accurately using electronic health records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 2 years of nursing experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry unit.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications; ACLS preferred.
• Must possess a valid nursing license.
• Preferred experience with Epic charting system.
