Assignment Duration

This is a 12-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call duties for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Totaling 40 hours per week.

Job Description

The Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist performs imaging procedures independently, demonstrating expertise in patient care and radiation safety. Responsibilities include:

• Executing a variety of imaging techniques and procedures with minimal supervision.
• Employing correct positioning and radiographic techniques for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Ensuring radiation safety and accurate documentation of patient exposure.
• Supporting aseptic techniques and participating in the time-out process during procedures.
• Assisting the physician by administering contrast agents as required.
• Providing standby call coverage as scheduled according to departmental policies.
• Maintaining high standards of point-of-care testing, including quality control.
• Effectively communicating with patients and healthcare team members to enhance patient care.
• Properly identifying patients and reviewing histories before procedures.
• Tracking images and ensuring proper documentation and charge entry.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not required.
• ARRT certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology or equivalent qualifications.
