Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This position requires a Night 3x12-Hour shift from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel contract in Labor and Delivery. The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in obstetrics and critical care, with the ability to manage various patient diagnoses including labor and preterm labor. This role will require active participation in all deliveries and the ability to handle high-risk scenarios effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support patients during labor and delivery.
• Circulate, scrub, and provide post-op and pre-op care.
• Administer blood and blood products, including cardioversion and defibrillation.
• Utilize special equipment such as epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and wound vacs.
• Perform assessments and provide care for both low-risk antepartum and high-risk deliveries.
• Document patient care using the Epic charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications

• 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery required.
• Epic experience is required.
• Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS (preferred).
• Active compact license honored in all Swedish facilities.
