Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Full Time Evenings

Schedule

This position requires full shift orientation to be started on a Tuesday or Thursday. The work schedule consists of full-time evenings, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Job Description

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will work under the direction of licensed nursing personnel to provide direct and indirect resident care within your scope of practice. You will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to care for adult and geriatric patients and ensure their needs are met effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with residents' activities of daily living (ADLs) as per the care plan, ensuring hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs are met.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, promptly responding to call lights and alarms.
• Support residents’ nutritional needs by facilitating meal delivery and preferred dining choices.
• Assist in meeting residents’ rehabilitative needs, including mobility and body alignment, in accordance with the care plan.
• Report residents' rights, refusals, and concerns to the charge nurse, including any changes in physical or emotional status.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NYS Nursing Assistant certification is required.
• BLS certification (AHA or RQI) is required.
• A minimum of one year of experience in long-term care (LTC) is required.
