This is a 13-week contract position.

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant will embrace the core values of delivering superior quality care, treating others with respect, being results-oriented, and demonstrating teamwork. The primary focus is on patient and employee safety, ensuring a safe work environment while providing compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist in various therapeutic interventions designed to meet patients' long-term goals, including posture training, strengthening exercises, balance training, and functional skills training.
- Train patients in locomotion using assistive devices and demonstrate safety awareness and proper techniques.
- Utilize modalities like whirlpools, hot/cold packs, therapeutic pools, and ultrasound.
- Monitor patient responses and document progress and sessions accurately.
- Establish and maintain professional and ethical relationships with patients and team members.
- Participate in team conferences and special projects aimed at improving patient care.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness in the treatment area, adhering to infection control protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- CAPTE certified.
- 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience is required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active and applicable state license for where work will be performed.
