Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patients' needs, goals, and physician directives. This role includes delegating and directing all therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of effective treatment programs that facilitate successful community reintegration. The therapist also serves as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers while maintaining professional standards and compliance with organizational policies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
- Document patient care accurately and in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Provide treatment under valid physician orders and insurance approval.
- Participate in student programs and provide supervision as needed.
- Create an individualized professional development plan and pursue ongoing education.
- Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
- 1 year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active and applicable state licensure.
- Experience in orthopedics is required.
