Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long-Term Care

Schedule

Day Shift: 6:45 am - 3:15 pm
Evening Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
Night Shift: 11:15 pm - 7:15 am

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with experience in long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in basic nursing skills, patient care procedures, and effective communication with patients and treatment teams.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report on physical and mental symptoms and conditions.
• Implement care and treatment procedures for a caseload of patients.
• Assist in activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Maintain proper hygiene and infection control protocols.
• Document patient observations and care activities accurately.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with healthcare professionals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Six (6) months of work experience in a long-term care health facility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Workers must be obtained within six (6) months of employment.
• Knowledge of medical and nursing terminology.
• Previous work experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.

• Patience and tact in dealing with patients and staff.
• Ability to remain composed under emotional and physical pressure.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
